Kira Crover (nee Graham) has a special interest in exercise rehabilitation with experience working with young athletes as well as geriatric populations in the community.   As a student at UBC, her passions lay in implementing exercise rehabilitation programs and seminars on functional strength and posture & back care.  These s udent-lead initiatives focused on educating UBC workers on rehabilitative and preventative strategies in the work-place.

Growing up in North Vancouver, Kira was an avid athlete, and her experience recovering from numerous sports injuries spurred her interest in the rehabilitative sciences.  Kira strongly believes in working with clients, and giving them the exercise tools so that they may adhere to exercise programs long after their personal sessions.  Her goal is to empower clients to be in command of their own recovery and overall health.

Kira is trained and experienced in utilizing the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) program for her clients in Victoria. The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a dynamic assessment tool, evaluating multiple body segments in fundamental movement patterns. FMS evaluates the quality of 7 fundamental movements and provides quantitative data that allowed for the provision of individualised corrective exercise programs. This assessment tool identifies individuals at risk of injury and also qualifying them to perform specific movements. FMS identifies faulty movement patterns and imbalances allowing for the development of corrective strategies. The FMS can be applied to any fitness level, identifies specific exercises based on FMS scores to help in the creation of a customized treatment plan.
